Small's Penstemon
One of the showiest Penstemons sporting sprays of purple tubular flowers May-June with a rebloom in the fall.
Allow to self sow and you will be rewarded with volunteers to spread about for a beautiful wild flower look.
A northeastern native typically found in light shade in well drained woodlands from Georgia north to North Carolina.
It is well adapted to our climate thriving in our gardens in similar conditions as well as full sun. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Good cut flower.
Full-part sun. 18-24"x 12". Deer resistant.
