Helleborus niger
Christmas Hellebore
Large 2.5" white flowers with bright golden centers bloom the earliest of all the hellebores. In a mild winter, they can be seen blooming as early as Christmas, hence the common name of Christmas Hellebore or Christmas Rose.
Glossy deep green foliage is evergreen. If foliage gets winter burn simply cut off any unwanted leaves. Full-part shade.
Best bloom occurs with part sun and compost rich soils. Height and spread 12-18". Deer resistant.
