Epimedium grandiflorum 'Lilafee'
Longspur Fairy Wings
Dainty in looks only. Epimediums are tough as nails in
the landscape. Once established they require very little care and are
drought tolerant. Delicate looking flowers on wiry stems in early spring
look like little fairies flying above the ground. Heart shaped foliage
follows the flowers and many times has nice shades of red in the young
leaves. Mature leaves are a good solid green and not bothered by insects.
Lilafee has lilac flowers with very long spurs and is a more compact
grower. Plants are more clumping than "groundcovering". Height 6-8"
