Wine Cups

I love this little rambler. In the photo shown left, I have it in my garden frolicking with the Euphorbias for a happy combination. The wine cups bloomed all summer starting in late May and continued until frost. The trailing stems weave in and out of other perennials and pop up to show their blooms. They can also be planted at the top of a wall and will spill over and down the wall. Native to central US they are a larval host and nectar source for the Gray Hairstreak butterfly. Full sun. Good drainage. Ht 6-12". Spread 2-3'. Z4-7
