Huge 2' long silver deeply cut
leaves form a 3'mound. This plant offers great architectural contrast in
the garden or container. Plants are biennial and produce 5" round thistle
like flower heads with violet petals that make excellent dried flowers.
Cooked leaf stalks are an Italian delicacy. Can be difficult to overwinter
in zones 7a and colder. Give it excellent drainage and a good mulching if
